Dear Kathy, Mike, Trish and Gregory, How very sorry Gord and I were to hear of your Dads passing. What a great boss he was to Gord and the stories they recalled were unbelievable.! We loved the visits to the garage on Bayview and the laughs---I can see him now giving his pants a hitch and laughing!!!!! We have great memories of your Mum and Dad at the NCR parties. Tishe, Mike, Greg and Kathy: My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Through my mid-teens, late-teens, being Tishe's friend, I spent many a time at 9 Bayview Drive, with Mr. Petite telling jokes and hearing his laughter. I would see him throughout the years, usually at some shopping establishment and we would stop for a quick chat. He was a kind, upstanding man who you could help but like very much. I remember Earl's laugh. He loved life and especially loved his family. When he and Martha met they were like 16 year olds. Martha was a close friend of mine at the time. They were so happy to have met. I told her allowing love to enter did not mean her other love (late husband) had to exit. ..her heart had room for both of them. To Earl's family and friends - my sincere condolences. I remember well our family times camping with the Petites at Smileys Intervale Park in Brooklyn. My parents were friends with Earl and Joey and often reminisced fondly of times spent together. Both my folks are gone now too - Dad Al in 2000 and Mom Faye the past October in 2021. One memory that we never forgot was when Earl and Joey were getting ready to head back home to Clayton Park and poor Joey got hit with the discharge from the holding tank while trying to connect up the hose at the dumping station! Mike & Greg - you know Al, Faye, Joey and Earl are having a cool drink in an eternal campground somewhere in the cosmos. Regards, Don Graham. South Shore NS
