Obituary For Iona Josphine Trider (Barker)
It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of a sister, wife and mother- Iona J Trider (Barker), 87 yrs on March 13 2025 after a lengthy illness.
Onie (as she was widely known) was a gifted lady with crocheting, knitting, baking and also had a true love for pets! Our cats (Polly and Chester) already miss her. Mom also played piano at holiday occasions which she truly enjoyed.
Onie leaves behind her only daughter Carolyn DeBaie (Barry), grandsons- Jamie (Ashley) and Jarrod (Brandi), great-granddaughter Harlow, sisters Donna Peers and Wendy MacKay. She was predeceased by her late husband Everett J Trider and her brother Avard Barker.
There is no visitation by her request, however a graveside service will be held on Thursday Mar 20th, 2025 for those who wish to attend, Saint Andrews Cemetery, 1485 Caldwell Rd, Eastern Passage 11am. In lieu of flowers donations could be made to “Healing Animal SCARS - Sonya's Cat & Animal Rescue Society”
