I have thought of Mr Bentley many times throughout my life.He was my Pastor in Bay St Lawrence when I was a young 10 years old he would always pick us up for church on Sundays and youth on Fridays.Some people have a impact on our young lives and he was one of them.Oh how we missed him when he left our little Village.I know we will all meet again some day .Viola Mac Donald Cleary

I have met Morley many times due to the connection our family has to the Union church in Bayhead. He has been there for us in the happy and sad times. It was a pleasure to have met him and his memory will live on in our hearts.

My sincere sympathy on your loss of such a wonderful man. I was honoured to have met & visited Rev. Morley's home a few times in the last few years. My family were neighbours of his mother, Dorothy, in Port Hood. May God bless him. Patricia MacIntyre

My sympathy and caring to Morley's family on his passing. He was truly a man of service who displayed great love towards others. I met Rev.Morley when I was a child living in Truemanville and he was minister in Amherst Head. He was a great comfort when my brother Gordon passed in 1994 ..taking part in his service ..and we have kept in touch by phone or letter since that time. "People have been my journey..." these words truly reflect the person Mr. Bentley was. A teacher; a lover of music; a minister; choir director; marriages; baptisms; funerals; friendship; so many things to so many people - he was there for most of it in our family. Rest in peace Mr. Bentley, and thank you for being part of our journey.

Our sincere condolences to all the family on Morley's passing. I remember him as a very kind and gentle man during his time as our minister at Wesley United Church, Saint Andrews, NB. He was respected and highly thought of by everyone in the community. Although he was no longer serving in Saint Andrews when I got married in October 1970 I asked if he would be kind enough to officiate at our wedding and gratefully he said yes. Morley was a wonderful person with a calm and caring manner. He will definitely be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Mr Bentley was such, a kind wonderful person, I first met him at the united church in wentworth, he married my husband and I, in 1980, baptized our children, he was such a caring person. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Reverand Morley Bentley was indeed a wonderful human being.He was our Minister at The Falls Trinity United for many years.He was the Minister at our Family Weddings and Funerals.plus he was always there to visit at our home or for a conversation when met on the village streets,remembering everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with his Family.

To the family, I remember Rev. Morley when he was in Lawrencetown. I was in grade three if I remember correctly. My sisters and I sang in the junior choir and bless him he tried to teach me how to play the piano. He was the nicest man. Even after all these years I still have such a wonderful memory of him. We grew up in Upper Stewiacke many years after Morley lived there and heard stories in our home of his life in the village. His name was always spoken of with praise and respect by our parents and grandmother, Myrtle Fisher. Our family was honoured to have him officiate at the funeral service of our mother Ruth Fisher in 2011. He fondly remembered his days of growing up in that same church. Our sympathy to you all. Morley made the world a better place throughout his long, good, life. What a blessing he was to the countless people he touched with his patience, humour and his limitless store of kindness. Morley was a regular visitor to our house in Upper Stewiacke, when I was young, and he and Marg (and later their growing family) visited often. My parents thought the world of him. He once picked me up on his way home from Halifax and drove me all the way to Cape North, where I spent a week with him and Marg when he was the minister there, and brought me back again. He officiated at our father's funeral and our mother's, and we kept in touch over the years. The last time I spoke with him was in April. I always felt better for hearing his voice. Reverend Bentley was a great person; He was one of my teachers at the North Colchester High School; always very kind and he exercised great patience with us all. A wonderful sense of humour, a very talented and dedicated individual, and all round nice person; he will be missed in our community and I will miss hearing him play in the church. We met Morley only a few times since we came to live in this area, however Morley always made us feel like he had known us forever. Morley was special and touched the hearts of many.May the great compassion he showed to others now be shown to his family at this time of great loss.

Morley was one of my teachers in junior high in Tatamagouche. It was a really warm day so must have been either early September or June. Anyway, I had my head down on my desk. Morley asked me a question, I raised my head and answered him. It must have been correct because I put my head back down. He was our minister in Bayhead, and he was loved by all. Also our organist for awhile as well. He was so patient when he was teaching our choir of mostly kids a new song. Please accept Allen and my deepest condolences. RIP Mr. Bentley. I met Morley as the United Church Minister at Harmony United Church. He was one of the kindest men you'd ever meet. I remember Morley to be extremely understanding and compassionate. One year, my sister Debbie and I had to decorate the Church for the Thanksgiving Service that Sunday. We were Sunday School teachers and our class made these hands cut out of construction paper all in an array of colors. Well, I guess we made a bit too many and had them all over the Church. Both of us were at our cottage for Thanksgiving, so we weren't there to hear Morley speak of all the hands everwhere !! LOL The congregation had a good belly laugh !! R.I.P dear man.
