Obituary For Adam Richard McKillop
With absolute sadness, we announce the sudden passing of a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, an uncle, a best friend and a friend to many. At the tender age of 28, Adam Richard McKillop, was taken away far too young.
He was the son of Dayna McKillop and the late Joseph (Joey) Gallant. He is survived by his loving mother, Dayna (Craig Anderson), his 2 brothers, Jamie McKillop and Benjamin (Ben) Davis, 2 stepbrothers, Evan and Nathan Anderson, his maternal grandparents, Shawn and Richard McKillop and paternal grandmother, Valerie Gallant and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Joey and his paternal grandfather, Alfred Gallant.
At a young age, Adam found his “calm” in skateboarding. Whenever he could he would be doing kick flips and rail slides. While living in Saint John, Adam and Jamie were always out hangin with the boys, most times they were out enjoying their youth but you could also find them all hanging out at Dayna’s eating her out of house and home and playing video games. Adam was an amazing best friend and a great big brother to many. He had a very tender heart and would give his shirt off of his back to help out anyone. Throughout his life he enjoyed skateboarding, sketching/drawing, music, teasing his mom about her craft obsessions and loved his Charleston chews and pixie stixs, leaving a sugar trail for his mother to clean. He also enjoyed being around people, just talking, joking and making them laugh.
Special thanks to the staff at the ICU unit 5.2 of the QE2 Hospital and Donald Walker for his services. A viewing will take place on Oct. 25th from 2-4 at Donald Walker Funeral home, 11 Akerley Blvd. # 800 Dartmouth NS. A Celebration of Life will follow from 6pm to 9 pm, Oct 25th at 39 Oland Crescent in Bayers Lake. We will be following covid precautions with masks and social distancing. In lieu of flowers, due to the unexpected death of Adam donations can be made to the family or to the Mental Health Foundation of your choice.
