Obituary For Allison Fiona Grant

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Allison Fiona Grant at the age of 54, on August 21, 2024 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax, Allison was predeceased by her parents Valerie and Leonard Grant to whom she was a devoted daughter. For many years, Allison worked in the insurance industry during her career. Allison enjoyed many hobbies which included cross-stitching, tole painting, making jewelry, digital scrapbooking tags, baking, reading and listening to music. Allison also loved playing online games and it was through this hobby that she developed many wonderful friendships around the world, including her BLT group (Birdz). Allison had a great love of animals, especially dogs. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with family and friends, whether sharing a delicious meal she had prepared, watching movies, playing cards or sightseeing drives along the coastline. Allison is survived by her beloved Aunt Joan (Hemeon), several close cousins, her Best Friend Forever Carol Little and many other friends. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Donald K. Walker. There will be no funeral service. Donations in memory of Allison can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Nova Scotia SPCA.

Was saddened to hear about Allison passing at such a young age. We remember her well from our time on Pioneer. We watched a wonderful young girl grow up. She was the centre of a loving extended family. Her loss will be deeply felt by Joan & family, and of course Carol her BFF. Condolences from the Wishart family.

She was always up on the iphones newest updates, and would always teach me about them! I loved watching Allison laugh until she cried, mostly during our lunches at Manulife. I find peace she is not suffering and reunited with her mom and dad, but what a large loss for those left to mourn. RIP Allison.
