Obituaries

David Austin Emmett. December 14, 1939 – April 25, 2022.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing our beloved husband, father and grandfather, David. Son of the late Austin and Alma Emmett was born in Maccan. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years; Margaret, daughter; Charlene (Jason) and his grandson; Emmett, Also, his sister May in Springhill and many nieces and nephews.

David will be remembered as an amazing husband, a spectacular dad, and extremely hard worker. He held many jobs; teaching ASL to hearing impaired children, a manager at Sunnyside Restaurant and an orderly at Camp Hill Hospital. In his retirement, he continued to work delivering flyers. He loved animals, hockey and was always on the go. He may be gone but he will never forgotten.

David’s family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at the Arborstone Nursing Home for exceptional care provided. They told us often that he was kind and happy, that there was no one quite like him. We couldn’t agree more.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Bethal Bapist Church, 316 Windmill Rd Dartmouth. Interment of Ashes to follow at a later date in West Quoddy.
