Obituary For Edna Winnifred Day (Foance)

DAY (FOANCE), Edna Winnifred, age 82 of Dartmouth left us peacefully on October 31st, 2018 at Ocean View Continuing Care Ctr. Born in Diamond, Pictou Co., NS. She was the daughter of the late William and Estelle (Innes) Foance. She loved being surrounded by her family. She adored and loved her grandchildren. She loved displaying family photos and always happy to add to her collection. Her smile and witty sense of humor will be sadly missed by all. Our thanks to the kindness and care give to Edna by the staff of Bayside at Ocean View. Survived by her son Richard (Nancy) Day, sister Margaret MacMillan, Pictou and grandchildren Andrew (Nicole), Ryan and Laura; Stepsister Clara Aiken. Predeceased by her husband Hazen Day, brothers Stanley Foance, Lloyd Foance, and sister Norma Foance, Stepmother Ethel (Moser) Foance, Stepsisters: Marion Sutherland, Blanche Conrad; Stepbrothers: Enos Moser & Barry Hiltz; Partner Larry Ross. Visitation to be held at the, Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Rd, Cole Harbour, NS on Tuesday November 6th from 3–6 pm. Family gravesite service to held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Ocean View Continuing Care Centre, Eastern Passage, NS or Alzheimer Society of NS. Online condolences can be made to www.donaldkwalker.ca.

    Rick: I was, so, so sorry to read of your Mom's passing in the paper. She was such an important part of our lives for so many years. I am sure she never had an enemy in this world. I've thought of her so many times over the years. The last time I talked to her was just shortly after Mom died. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Doris MacDonald (Leo's sister)
