Eleanor Glynn was my practicum supervising teacher when in 1973 I practice taught English Literature at St.Pat's High School. She was all the things that have been said here and more, and I was so fortunate to have known her and had her help me along the way. We always finished the week at Hogie's on Friday after school with some cold and delicious Kickaboo Joy Juice, a nice meal and a good chat with lots of laughs. Rest in peace my friend and May God Love You as much as your students and friends did. Sincerely, G Franklyn Hiscock.

So sorry for this loss. She was an outstanding English teacher. I credit her for teaching me to write a proper essay and for having Macbeth's soliloquy etched in my memory for the rest of time. She was also a lively character and lovely person as I recall 🙂

Sister John Bosco was my Grade 8 English teacher in 1958. She was good-natured, spirited and inspiring. She was a serious teacher and a real breath of fresh air. She did her best to encourage us. AND she could sing. EVERYONE admired her for her wonderful voice. Rest in peace, Miss Glynn, and may " flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. " -Michael Doherty

I knew her first as Sister John Bosco, who was one of the best teachers I ever had and many years later ran into her as Eleanor Glynn. She made a lasting impression on everyone who ever met her and I was greatly influenced by her example as a strong independent and intelligent woman.

FYI years after graduating from St. Pat's I was at a bar in the Hotel Nova Scotian and saw her there on a date. She and I had a dance. She sent me on a path for a rewarding career and for that I am eternally grateful. RIP in the heather on the hill...

Eleanor contributed so much to the students of SPHS through her contributions to the annual musicals as well as her classroom teachings. She was a bright light and inspiration to the entire school. I feel privileged to have known her, to have taught with her and call her a friend. - Joe McSweeney

Miss Glynn is the one teacher I gave such vivid memories of. I loved her English class. Learned so much from her. I'm sad to hear of her passing. Cathy Carr.
