Obituary For Jack Cooper

Cooper, Jack
Age 68, passed away suddenly, on his own terms on July 28, 2024 at DGH.
He was born in Halifax, son of the late John and Marie (Varbeff) Cooper
and birth parents Tom and Helen (Wilson) Cooper.
Jack was naturally artistic. He attended NASCAD after PAHS. He went on
to work at many sign companies as well as the DND Paint Shop. He was
a master at hand lettering.
Jack had well over 100 vehicles (mostly older Chevs), restoring them kept
him busy in his garage. He also enjoyed going to car shows, but his real
passion was riding his motorcycle.
Jack is survived by his wife Valerie (Cooney), sons Mitchell and Nick.
Also survived by remaining siblings Betty, Susan, Tommy, Brian, Barry,
Ann and Cindy, brother in-laws Doug and Randy Cooney, special friend Wanda LeBlanc.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, August 13th at 1:00 pm at Life Branch Church, 10 Lancaster Drive in Dartmouth

Peter and our boys offer our condolences to you, Nick and Mitchell. Jack was very artistic and I know this personally because of the awesome goalie helmet he painted for our son Chris, who was playing for the Dartmouth Whalers at one time. It was an awesome piece of art!! Jack was a quiet soul but always had a wave when I walked or drove by. His presence will be greatly missed.
