Matheson (Blank) Joan Bernice, of Dartmouth passed away on Monday, June 24th, 2019, in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Joan was the daughter of the late Lauretta (MacNeill) and William Blank. She was a life long resident of Dartmouth owning her own Beauty Salon, The Parisienne on Portland Street and later worked in the office of Harry Webby Construction Ltd. for 21 years then ventured to Hiltz's shoe store as manager for many years. Her passions were horse racing at the Sackville Downs, Bingo and the casino. Her life was full and savoured much, good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. She is survived by nephew Denton "Denny" (Sandra) Cross, Great Niece Deborah (James) Dalton, Great Nephew David (Heidi) Wolfe, Wayne (Christina) Cross, Matthew (Sonia) Cross, Daniel (Jillian) Cross, God Daughter, Donna Carter and several great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and soul mate George (Jimmy) Daniel Matheson, sisters Dorothy (Norman) Ritcey, Violet (Clyde) Cross and her beloved niece Barbara (Ritcey) Lapierre. Joan has requested no funeral service, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Donald K. Walker Funeral Directors. Interment in Mount Hermon Cemetery at a later date.
