Obituary For Joan Emily Shields

Joan Emily Shields passed away June 8 at home surrounded by family at the age of 86.

She was the daughter of the late Walter Wilson and Maryellen Penny. She is predeceased by sisters Marjorie and Lillian She was married to Blaise Edward Shields who passed away in 2008 together they had 7 children. Stephen Shields Marcia Cann, Karen Shields Robert Walker, Colleen Shields Louis Durst, Robert Shields Brenda Macdonald, Jane Shields Stephen Veinotte, Maryellen Shields and was predeceased by Raymond Shields. She had 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Joan lived to be on the go and always willing, she loved knitting bingo and shopping. She loved her grandchildren dearly and could not wait to see them. Joan had many dear friends, her door was always open, she was always willing to share and give what she could. She will be missed and never forgotten.
