Obituary For Josephine (Jose) Roberts

It is with deep sadness that our family shares the passing of our loving wife, mother and grand-mother Josephine Roberts of Middle Sackville on January 31st, 2021 at the QE2 at the age of 66. Jose loved nothing more than talking with or being with her family and she devoted herself to raising her children and in her adult life lived for and helped raise her grandchildren, they were her whole world. Jose spent most of her summers at the ball field cheering on her grand kids and was their biggest supporter and most nervous fan. Jose was very proud of her Newfoundland roots and enjoyed visiting her family there when she could. Although she lived in Nova Scotia for over 40 years her heart was always in Nfld and the family that was still there. Jose was always known for having the biggest and softest heart and she cared deeply about those who she loved and worried endless about her whole family. She was always the first to offer help and support to others and her kindness had an impact on so many. Jose is survived by her husband of 46 years Eric Roberts, daughter Trena, sons Tommy and Eric (Bubby), her grandchildren Blayke, Lindsey & Madiyson. Jose was born in Harbour Breton, Newfoundland and was pre-deceased by her parents James & Margaret Molloy, sister Helena and brother Jerry. Her heart was always with these family members that passed before her and it gives the family peace knowing she is with them now. Jose had a large close family and she will be greatly missed by them all. The bond she had for her siblings was special and strong and involved daily calls and facetime with many of them. She will be missed by her sisters, Judy, Claire, Florence, Violet, Margie, Jackie. Her brothers, John, Wayne and Raymond and her many nieces and nephews who showed so much support through her life and brief illness. Special thanks to Elaine for supporting Tommy during the hospital stays and John and Ellie for being there with mom during her passing. There are no words to express the sorrow that so many are feeling by her passing and the expression of love so many have sent that knew her is overwhelming for the family but we will cherish the memories for a lifetime “Remembering you is easy, we do it every day. But missing you is a heartache that will never go away” She is sending love to her to all of us to the moon and back as always.

    We will fondly remember all the summer days and nights spent watching the kids play ball with Sackville Minor, watching the kids grow.
