It is with great sadness, her family wishes to announce her sudden passing, at age 60 on Monday, May 8th, 2017 in her home. A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to everyone who walked in her path. Kyova held a warm place in everyone's heart. Kyova was passionate about cooking and baking traditional Lebanese cuisine that kept our culture alive in our community. She always took pride in her work. Kyova will always be in our hearts, she will be remembered by her warm smile, love and devotion to all and of course her tasty 'znoudel set'. Kyova was born in Miniara, Akkar, Lebanon, daughter of Sadallah and the late Josephine Zakhour. She is survived by her husband Tarek; children, Joseph and Mary; brothers, Lutfallah (Evelyn), Mounzer (Rawaida), and Clark (Maha); sister Lamia (Riad) and many nieces, nephew, cherished friends, and all relatives in Lebanon, Australia and Columbia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Donald K. Walker Funeral Directors Ltd., 307 Princee Albert Road., Dartmouth NS where visitation will be held from 5-9 PM on Wednesday May 10th. Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, May 11 in Saint Antonios Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2480 Windsor Steet, Halifax, Father Maximos Saikali officiating. Burial in Saint Antonios Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Antonios Antiochian Orthodox Church.
