Obituary For Mary-Margaret Theriault-LaPorte

Age 81, passed away on Jan. 22 at Ivy Meadows.

Born in Glace Bay, NS to Alphonse and Catherine Boyce. Mary worked as secretary to the Deputy Minister of Transportation in Halifax for many years. Mary was a loving mother to four children, Allen Theriault (Paula), Stephen Theriault (Joanne), Joanne MacMillan (Peter) and predeceased by daughter Gina Theriault. She had eight grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Adam, Josie, Alex, Robin, Michelle and Lauren. She had one great grandchild, Abigale. "Nanny was a very vibrant mother and grandmother and loved her family with all her heart. She shall be missed. Special thanks to the staff of Ivy Meadows, Beaverbank for all the kindness and compassion shown to Mary and her family. Mary is under the care of the Donald K. Walker Funeral Home, donaldkwalker@accesswave.com. A private celebration of life and burial will be held at a later date.

    Sorry to hear of Mary's passing.I remember when I was growing up her visits down home and our visits to her in Halifax.She was always full of life wherever she went.My condolences to her family.
