Obituary For Patricia-Anne Naugler (Leahan)

Patricia-Anne Naugler (Leahan) of Dartmouth NS 1932-2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Matriarch of the Naugler Family; Patricia-Anne Naugler. A wonderful Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend, she was loved by everyone. Wife to William Naugler (predeceased ) for over 75 years she was the best caregiver, homemaker any family could ever want.

Patricia - "Pat" as her friends called her was always active, loved to travel, swim and walk her favorite furbabies; her dogs daily to stay fit. She was such a great neighbour, always helping others in need by sending care packages of her amazing brownies and baked goods. Best pies you ever tasted. Everyone enjoyed getting those visits and making them with her. She was such a great cook as well. You could always count on a great meal if you dropped in. You never left her home hungry. Pat was a resilient woman and had endured a lot in her lifetime. She lost both her baby girls, Debbie to a impaired driver and Pattie to scoliosis of the spine. She also raised 5 boys that always gave her a run for her money but they all respected and loved her dearly. She was such a lady always dressing top notch, never said a bad word about anyone and cared deeply for her family and friends. She was the epitome of LOVE because her love was always with action. She had such a servant heart and would do anything to help others.

She spent her last years of life at the Ocean View Long Term Care Home in Eastern Passage. The family truly appreciates the care she received during her time there. She had many friends and the staff loved her. They said she was the “sweetest lady ever”.

Pat's parents were Cyril and Gladys Leahan of Halifax. Her siblings, all predeceased were Don (Ernestine) Leahan, Shirley (Doug) Large, and Gwen (Roy) Parker. She is survived by her sons Richard (Judy- predeceased) Naugler, Grant (Maureen) Naugler, David (Pauline) Naugler, Micheal Naugler and predeceased by son James (Jimmy) (Anne) and daughters Debbie and Pattie.

Pat loved her grandchildren dearly:

Patricia (Lloyd) Currie, Jason ( Danielle) Naugler, Richard (Kerri-Lynne) Naugler, Tanya (Kevin) Higgins, Mary (Steven) Roka, Heather ( Phillip ) Young, Nancy (Jeff) Naugler, Natalie Naugler and Matthew Naugler.

She loved and celebrated 13 great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren. She was highly blessed and favoured. She passed away peacefully with family by her side. Service and burial to take place at a later date.

Dear Naugler family, our family is very sorry to hear about Pat. She was the first person to come and meet us as we moved onto Orkney Drive. We became good friends sharing many coffee parties, celebrations and get togethers over 45 years. Generous and kind was Pat. Her obituary captured her to a "T". Lovingly remembered by Paul, Ann, Angela and Kevin Howe

So sad to hear about this. I'll always remember Mrs. Naugler coming over Saturday mornings for coffee with Mom. She always had her lipstick on and hair done. Mom will be glad to see her.

Sending sincere condolences to a very impressive woman.Would her husband William by any chance have a connection to New Ross? If so, I am a relative (cousin)

Mrs. Naugler, as I called her, was a wonderful caring woman. She was always there for anyone who needed anything. Her cooking and baking was amazing and her family was her whole life. Rest in peace and all my love to the family, especially Mike.

Pat was one of my mother's cousins, she was loving and fun any time I ever saw her. We used to have a picture of her on the back of my brother's motorcycle after a quick ride around the neighborhood. Condolences to all of the family, take care Blair Faulkner
