Obituary For Ralph Zelmer

Age 94 of Halifax, Nova Scotia. During his long life Ralph lived in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia and Quebec. He passed peacefully on August 30, 2018 at the Parkland at the Lakes (Phase 2) retirement home in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with his wife Kay and youngest son Wayne in attendance. He is survived by his wife Kay and his two sons Mark and Wayne plus two sisters, Joyce and Phyllis and numerous nieces and nephews. Any donations should be directed to your favourite charity.

Ralph was born in Castor, Alberta in 1924 and was one of eight children of Adam and Martha (nee Ulmer) Zelmer. The family moved to High River when Ralph was a child and he worked for the Royal Bank of Canada for more than 40 years except for his service in the RCAF as a pilot during World War II. He and Kay married in 1959 in Winnipeg and raised their two children in Winnipeg and Montreal. After retirement Ralph and Kay moved to South Surrey, BC in 1990 and then to Halifax in 2011.
