Obituary For Rebecca "Becky" Jane Atwell

Age 61 years, of Windsor Junction, passed away July 26th, 2022.

It’s with great sadness that we are announcing the sudden passing of our beloved Becky Atwell.

Becky will always be remembered as a kind, compassionate and loving person. She was always so appreciative of the individuals in her life and the people who brightened her day. She was a great cook and depending who you ask, everyone had a favourite dish! Chicken roll, potato salad, deviled eggs, and hodge podge were some of the most requested. Becky loved her family fiercely, especially her grandchildren, and always happily took great care of them and her friends. Her absence will be felt immensely by so many people.

She was a proud lifelong member of the Windsor Junction/Waverly/Fall River communities and will always be remembered as a person ready to help anyone in need. Becky spent her life enjoying her sanctuary “The Yard” and many of her happiest memories reside there. She absolutely adored watching her kids and grandkids playing games in the yard, having friends and family over for gatherings, caring for her animals, and walking in the woods. Becky had a great sense of humour and was always shaking her head at her husband and laughing at her kids and grand kids.

Becky joins her parents Glenna and Fred Stephen and siblings Alex Stephen and Roslyn Grimes to continue watching over those she loves. She remains in the hearts of her husband David Atwell, sons Josh (Ashley) and Kyle, her four beloved grandchildren Kaiden, Nash, Olive, Athena, as well as siblings Robert Stephen, Noel (Judith) Stephen, Holly (Keith) Campbell.

To honour Becky’s memory, we are holding a memorial service followed by a celebration of her life on Wednesday, August 3rd at 11am at the LWF Community Hall (The old Fire Hall) in Fall River. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and remember her wonderful life with friends and family.

I was saddened to learn of Becky's passing from my 2nd cousin Lynn Arnold. I didn't really know her but I knew her parents, and Roslyn and Charles lived at the bottom of my mother's lane, and Holly & Keith lived next door to Mom for a time. (Mary Vaughan) Sixty-one is far too young. Sending condolences to her husband, her children, her siblings, and all of the extended family. at this very hard time.

I'm so sorry for your loss. What a full and loved life Becky created for herself; it ended far too soon. She will live on in the love and smiles and joy of her family and friends. Sending a special hug to her husband, Dave. A beautiful person who always spoke so highly of Becky at work and clearly loves her with all his heart.

Becky was our neighbor and friend for over 20 years. There was always joy and laughter especially when her family and friends were visiting, which was often. She always had time to listen and have a good chat! She will be missed dearly. Debbie and Owen

I was lucky to call this special soul my aunt. There are too many memories growing up with a sister-aunt to recount. I hold them close to my heart. She was one of the kindest, gentlest humans I knew. She always had a compassionate ear and was always there when you needed her. She loved her family and friends immensely and there was nothing she wouldn't do to help anyone. She will be incredibly missed...Davy, Josh, Ashley, Kyle, and grandkids...my heart aches for you. Know you were loved by the best of the best. Holly, Bobby, and Noel, I know your pain, We all have a beautiful angel looking over us. I love you Beck! Always have and always will. I don't have the words to express the grief. They say the amount of grief we feel is equal to the love we felt. Boy, was she easy to love and you felt her love in return. The loss is immeasurable. Rest In Peace Beck. I love you!! Kim. xoxo

When I look back over the years I have many memories of Aunt Becky. The most special one was Matt and my send off to Alberta. She hosted a party in her yard for us and all our friends. To offer her place for such a big event in our lives was so special to us. She made her home, home to anyone who came into it. We feel so privileged to have had our girls meet such a wonderful Aunt. She always told Matt and myself how proud she was of us and she definitely was a huge fan of the girls. Davy, Josh and Kyle your wife and mom was the Best of The BEST and never forget it. I know she is dancing with the angels. God love her♥️ we will miss her forever Matthew, Amanda, Charlee Jane and Bobby Marie Campbell ♥️

Becky was one of a kind. She was my best friend, a confidante and someone I knew I could turn to if I had a problem or just needed to talk. I will miss her so much but I know she will be watching over us all. Fly with the angels Beck!
