Obituary For Robert "Bob" Lewis Kunzli

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Bob Kunzli on December, 15, 2023. Born in Montreal QC, raised in Halifax NS but he had spent the majority of his adult life in Ottawa, ON. This is where he raised his son and served many years in the trades union as a glacier. He was an expert in his trade and took pride in his work.

Bob loved his toys, whether it be his Harleys on a crisp autumn day or his boats and trailer on a warm summer's evening. Most of all he loved his family and friends. Bob was always willing to drop anything to be there for the people he loved. He was a man with a big heart and a caring soul. He was always the life of the party, and he never shied away from a good time, making new friends everywhere he went.

Later in life Bob moved back home to Halifax to be closer to his parents and his brother. He spent his days personally donating warm food and clothing to the homeless, caretaking for his parents and cruising the streets on his Harley’s with his dog Bea.

He is survived by his parents Madonna and Daniel Kunzli, his son Garrison Brown, and his brother Stephen Kunzli.

Bob would say to all of us: Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you all the happiness of tomorrow. My lifes been full, I savoured much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift your hearts with me, I am set free.

A celebration of life will take place at the end of January in Halifax as well as one in Ottawa in May. Dates to be determined.

Aunt Madonna, Danny & Steven, So sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I first met Bob back in BC Silver, when I found out he was my first cousin. . Years passed before I seen him again, which was at my Mom's celebration of life and then at his Mom's 80th Bday. Always enjoyed his sense of humor and his wild ways. Hugs to you all. xoxo. My thoughts and prayers go out to Madonna and Danny. Bobby was fun guy to be around. Even though he moved away when he was young, I got to see him a few times since he moved back. He always had a big smile on his face when I saw him. I was very sad to hear of his passing. Our condolences to his family. Jamie Henneberry and Virginia
