I remember when Uncle Vic entered our lives. Aunt Sally was the youngest sister of my father, Bud. We lived near the Oakmount estate where Sally lived with her mother (Doodie). Next door to us lived Dad's brother (Howard) and his family. My brother (Gary) and two of our cousins (Linda and Michael) were at that age of overwhelming curiosity about Aunt Sally's new suitor. We would hide and spy when he came calling. He would seek us out and chase us around the grounds. If caught we would be tickled. Realizing that Uncle Vic and Aunt Sal were married for 66 years impressed upon me the fact that we are now on the old side of 'middle age' as these memories predate the wedding. Thanks for the memories Uncle Vic and Rest in peace. Annamarie Hatcher (nee Martin)
