Obituaries

Bertha D. Goodick passed away peacefully at the age of 88 in Northwood Ivany Place on October 20th, 2024. Born in Cape Traverse PEI, she moved to Fairview NS at a young age. Later, she moved to Dartmouth NS with Wilfred Earle, her husband of 39 years, where they raised their six sons.

She spent many years exploring the province with her family in their camper. She was a member of Fairview United Church, where she was a devoted volunteer with the Senior’s Luncheon. Those who knew her always found her with a big smile on her face.

She is survived by her sons Art (Debbie), Ken (Jeannine), Stephen, Glenn (Peggy), Stan (Carol); 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Lorraine) MacMicken and sister Susan MacDonald; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents George W. MacMicken and Dorothy MacMicken (Wright); Husband Wilfred Earle; Son Donald; Sisters Ada Stalker, Helen Stevenson, Margaret Rose (in infancy).

Cremation has taken place and family burial will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank Northwood Beford Campus for their wonderful care over the past three years. Donations in Bertha’s memory may be made to Northwood Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
