Terry Woodrow Pelley, 75, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

He leaves behind his wife and loving companion, Doreen Chaffey; his cherished children, Trina (Chad) and Cory (Cathy); his beloved stepdaughters, Carolyn (Mike) and Colleen (Gary); and his adored grandchildren, Samantha (Matt), Ryder, Avery, Taylor, and Dawson. Terry is also survived by his brother Wayne (Barbara) sisters Joyce (Bob) and Velma as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Geraldine; his parents, Harry and Florence; and his siblings, Reginald, Lorne (Lon), Ronald and Arthur (Brud).

Born and raised in Bishop’s Falls, NL, Terry made his home in Dartmouth, NS, for the past nearly 30 years. He will be fondly remembered for his kind and generous heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, neighbours, and even strangers.

A skilled craftsman, Terry found great joy working with his hands. He was an accomplished carpenter, cabinet-maker and woodworker. He had an incredible talent for turning simple materials into something functional and beautiful. His backyard was home to many bird families, thanks to his bird ‘condos’.

Despite the challenges of his health in recent years, Terry never lost his sense of humour. His warm smile and easy laughter were a gift to all who knew him.
