Pam, Fred and family. We haven't met but came to know Chad in the last few years as he returned from Alberta to NS. We live on Johnson Cres in Lower Sackville and he was our go-to dependable, trust worthy, happy, electrical dude. He was always responsive, thoughtful, open and quick to share, gracious and easy going. His smile lit up any space we met him in, eyes dancing all the while. I am absolutely heart broken for your loss.

I was very sorry to learn of Chad's passing. I am his neighbour located directly behind his home. Chad and I chatted on many occassions and he was always helpful and kind. He did a few favours for me over the years and I was very thankful. I know your hearts are breaking and he was so young. No words can take away your pain. I didn't know Chad like so many others did. So many great words said at his celebration of life today. I learned more about Chad and the bond him, his family and friends have is the bond every human-being strives for. You could clearly see how many people's lives Chad reached today. The community we live in, and have, is truly special. My heart is broken, but I feel like he would want us to charge on, especially with smiles on our faces. Dearest Family! My son, Joe Doucette was a friend of Chad's for many years including high school. They lived together while out in Grand Prairie for several years. It was my sincere pleasure to have met Chad and have him here for some of the "party" gatherings in our home in their youth years and 20's. So handsome and you're right...he lit up the room! Every memory I have of Chad brings a smile to my face. My heart goes out to all of you as you feel this deep pain. One of my favourite memories of Chad is when he was 7 (age of my son Ben is right now) and I was 6 years old and we snuck into the nursery before Sunday school and got our hands on a sleeve of arrow root baby cookies and poured ourselves a couple Dixie cups of apple juice and chatted about life for about 10 minutes while chowing down. We did this at least three times and nobody ever found out. This is one of my favourite memories as a kid attending church. Chad always made every room better by his presence. He was a Woodill through and through with his warm sense of humour and acceptance of everyone. Whenever I drink apple juice or eat a baby cookie I will always think of Chad. We were lucky enough to have Chad as our electrician.He was such a sweet, patient, humble man who always made sure we were happy with everything he did. Even our ornery cat Ernie loved him. Growing up in the Grand Lake Village area, Chad always stood out as the cool, movie-star handsome guy at our shared school bus stop — I think just about every girl in Wellington (including me!) had a crush on him. I am very sorry for the loss of your beloved son, brother, cousin, & friend to so many. My heart is with your family & the Wellington community.

We had an opportunity to meet Chad thru his work as electrician. We found him to be a sincere, interesting, fun loving young man with a great work ethic. I first met Chad at his home for skating parties. His mother was my elementary teacher and we then went to Jr High together in the same grade. He and I crossed paths in our adult years and he hadn't changed abit. His laugh, kind heart and happy nature is something that touched so many! I first met Chad working at Shoppers drug mart in high school. Little did I know, but he and I would be come roommates for a period in Clairmont (GP,AB). Chad's lightheartedness and sense of humour provided so much comfort for me during the remainder of my time in Alberta. Although we have lost touch over the years, I always looked back on the memories with Chad with great admiration. He and I enjoyed some really great laughs and experiences together.
