Obituary For Daniel Patrick Bradley

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Daniel Patrick Bradley, of Dartmouth Nova Scotia, on the 16th October 2024. Son of the late Eugene Bradley, of Saint John New Brunswick, and Patricia Zinck (Moore), of Halifax Nova Scotia. Danny leaves a legacy to be remembered by brothers Peter and Paul, sisters Cathy, Marie and Patti, sons Justin, Jarred, and Jeffrey (Stephanie), former wife Brenda Manning, current life partner Wanda O’Brian, step-son Monsune (Aurora) and grand children Kahlan, Rose, Emalee, Liightning and Ecliipse.

Danny’s love for sports followed him throughout his life, and it shone through his own participation and coachng in many hockey and ball hockey tournaments, through his sons’ sports throughout their childhood, and through many family nights watching games, matches, and races. A diehard Canadians fan, Danny will always get an extra cheer from us every time they beat the Maple Leafs!

Not only a sports fan, Danny always had a love for cars and driving, which he was able to pursue in careers throughout his life; in early years, as a Coca-Cola truck driver, then as a beloved driver for Metro Transit, where over the years countless cherished memories and friendships were made.

We truly feel that words cannot express well enough how great of a man, friend, son, brother, father, grandfather, and partner Danny was, and if you were lucky enough to know him you would agree that Danny leaves an imprint that will last forever.

I offer our condolences to Wanda and the boys-Justin, Jarred and Jeff, on Danny's passing. I shared a few photos of Danny when he was a baby, then a bit older then a teenager in Riverview. His afro became his signature hairstyle over the years. He was just a year younger than I. In the early 1960's, when Danny started at Parkdale school in Charlottetown, I was in Grade 1. After his first day of school Mom didn't have to bring him again. I walked with my little brother each day. Back in those days children were often accompanied by their siblings, and not always with a parent. One day early in the school year, Danny decided that he wasn't going back to school ever again. He'd had enough. He headed for home. I couldn't convince him to stay so I followed him home so he'd be safe. Mom soon had the 2 of us at home. She marched us back to school. Danny never tried that trick again. I know that now my brother is safe in the company of Mom and Dad and all our relatives who have gone before us. Rest in Peace and comfort little brother. God Bless.

Condolences to the Bradley family. We had a great time playing sports together while growing up in Wallis Heights. Later in years we would have a few beers together while he cheered for the Canadians and I cheered for Boston. He will be missed.

I lived with Danny while my children were born. He was the perfect man to have around two newborn twins. It was an honor to have my daughters spend so many laughs with their Papa. The world lost a really good man. Praying for my brothers who lost their dad and my mom who lost her best friend. We miss you, Danny. Rest easy, my man.

Sincere condolences to the family. Maureen Little (Johnston). Mrs. Bradley minded me and my siblings when we were in grade school and that's how I met Danny. Hold on to all your good memories.
