Obituaries

Dorothy Claire Robinson (Ehler), 85, passed away peacefully on July 5, at Northwood Incare Living, in Bedford. Born in Queensport, she was predeceased at age 4 by her father, Torrey Eugene Ehler. Dorothy completed her teacher training at Provincial Normal College in Truro. She began her teaching career at age 19, teaching grade 12 at the brand-new Halifax West High School, in 1958. A few of her students were older than she was. She went on to teach at several Halifax elementary schools before she retired.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Robert and her son, Daniel. She was also predeceased by her mother, Lola (Digdon) (Ehler) MacPherson, her stepfather, Cornelius MacPherson, her sister, Doris DeVries (Gordon), one stepsister and three stepbrothers. She is survived by sons, David (Susie) and Timothy (Elaine), both of Halifax, as well as half-sisters, Karen MacPherson, Calgary, and Glenda Taylor (Glenn), Shubenacadie.

Cremation has taken place. At Dorothy's request, there will be no funeral service.
