Obituary For Greg Lambert

Family and friends are sad to announce the recent peaceful passing of Greg Lambert, after an extended period of ill health caused by a return of cancer.

Greg recently celebrated his 83rd birthday. Greg was the adopted son of Winnie and David Lambert and is survived by his sister Linda Chapman. During his professional career as general manager of large hotels across Canada and several located in the Caribbean, Greg was privileged to have hosted numerous Prime Ministers, Heads of State and Royalty. He retired in 1986 whereupon he established a small but well respected medical alarm company, which operated across Canada.

Greg was also honored in 1985 to have been selected as the Chairman to establish the Nova Scotia branch of the Children's Wish Foundation, a position he held for 6 years before retiring. During his Hotel career in the Caribbean he was active working with the Bahama Sea Scouts, and also enjoyed many years of Scottish Country Dancing. His hobbies included reading, music and being host to many friends at dinner parties held during each year at his home.

Greg's first love was for his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he served as Chorister for many years. He was a very active member for the past 37 years and a special service, celebrating Greg's life, will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 205 Lacewood Drive in Halifax N.S. on November 9th 2024 at 10 AM.

Remembering Greg at Bon Accord dance class. He was forever teasing me but in a fun way. His laugh was so hearty. Always joking . May he RIP.
