Obituary For Gregory (Greg) Ferraro

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gregory (Greg) Ferraro announces his passing at the age of 51 years in November, 2024, in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia. Born in Uxbridge, Ontario in June 1973, to Peter and Barbara Ferraro, Greg was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Loving father to Ethan and Weston Ferraro, Greg was predeceased by his father, Peter, whose guidance shaped his life. He is survived by his ever-supportive mother, Barbara and her partner, John, his brothers Mark (Amanda) and Drew (Maggie), and the boys’ mother, Alicia, with whom he shared a deep bond and mutual love for their children.

Greg graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1996, where he fell in love with the Atlantic Canadian lifestyle. He spent nearly two decades working for DePuy Synthes, where he supported medical professionals in and out of the operating room throughout Atlantic Canada.

Greg was known for his athleticism and loved being on the water, whether on the northern lakes of Ontario in his younger years or cruising the ocean in Nova Scotia, where he resided throughout his adult life. He passed on this passion to his boys, instilling in them a love for the outdoors and adventure.

As we remember Greg, we celebrate the memories we shared and the love that continues to bind us. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that donations be made to www.camh.ca
