My condolences to the Brown family, so sad to hear of John's passing. I also remember John attending the dances at the Waverley Fire Hall, and when the Brown family first moved to Waverley and became great school friends with John's sister Beverly. When my Mom passed away John came to our house to pass on his condolences to our family, he was a great man. Rest in peace John you will be missed. Shelley Parsons (Wyse)

Sad to hear this. Even though it has been about 10 years or so since I last saw John, I always enjoyed seeing him and I know he felt the same. We were friends through our teens - dances, bowling alley, tearing it up in somebody's car... always knew John was our protector. He never backed down from a scrap but was never a bully. In fact he stuck up for people being bullied. I have always had a lot of respect for John. I hope he is at peace and that there is a good band playing someplace nice so that he can dance. RIP old friend.

Have not seen John for some time. Remembering the fun times we had when the Family would come to visit us at Ellershouse when younger. Rest in peace John. Your cousin Kathy Hartt (Brown)

John was a unique person, always full of stories and a big smile and a hug when we met. My sincere condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear of John's passing he was a good guy we went way back to the days of the dances in Bedford.

I'm sorry to hear of John 's passing. I knew him since our Fall River/Waverley days in the 1960s. We rec-connected a few years ago when he was in the hospital for sooooo long. He was a character.
