Obituary For Pearl Eileen Forest

Pearl Eileen Forest- 89 of Lower Sackville, NS Went peacefully home to God on February 20, 2025.

Pearl was born in the community of Amherst Cove, NFLD to parents William and Elizabeth Little. Brothers Eric, Cyril, Gordon and Raymond. She moved to Halifax and met the love of her life Joseph Vincent Forest.

She was a devoted mother to sons Wayne, Stephen, Darren (Tracy) Forest And a proud grandmother to Andrew, Stephanie, Emily and Hannah.

Pearl loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed daily conversations with Andrew and Stephen, listening to Emily sing, never missing a performance or video call, Bingo nights, lunches and drives with Hannah. Darren’s home cooked meals and chatting about the weather and shopping with Tracy. She loved gardening, knitting dish cloths and crossword. Her grand pup Sammy brought her much joy. From daily walks to lazy naps he was her constant companion.

Always loved and forever in our hearts.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday February 27th. 1pm. At St John Vianney church. 4 Beaverbank road, Lower Sackville NS.

Donations can be made to Cobequid Community health as a thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses who took such good care of her. Or Beacon house her favorite charity.

    So sorry to hear of the loss of Aunt Pearl. She was a kind gentle person who was so carrying of others. My memories of her, were that family and those around her (that she knew or met) always came first. May she rest in peace.

    Tracy, I remember you talking so sweetly of Pearl and how she loved taking care of the girls for you and Darren when you were working. Your words mad me "compare" her to a good Newfie Nanny and little did I know, she was! I just saw she was born in Amherst Cove, on the Bonnivista Peninsula - a place that grew strong loving women!
