Obituaries

The death of James (Jim) Sharp occurred Friday, April 21st, 2023 in Enfield, Nova Scotia. Born on May 28th, 1943 he was the son of the late George and Mary (Ritchie) Sharp of Renton, Scotland. James is survived by his sons, David Sharp (Kim), Stewart Sharp (Jennifer); Daughter, Margaret Sharp; and grandchildren, Madison, Connor and Taylor.

Jim was a loyal supporter of the Glasgow Rangers Football Club, and enjoyed watching them play from across the pond and he was commonly seen handing out peanuts to the blue jays that would come tap at his door. Jim was a private man, and held on strongly for his need for independence. He spoke fondly of the handful of people in Enfield/Elmsdale, that checked up on him during the past couple of years, specifically his driver/friend, Neil, and the ladies at the post office. The family will be forever grateful for that little village that looked out for our Dad.

No visitation or funeral. A private celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at a later date.
