Jean MacLennan, 68, of Middle Sackville, NS, passed away at home on Saturday January 18, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband Gary; her sons Paul and David (Tatjana) and daughter Jennifer (Edward); grandsons Paul and Nathan and granddaughter Kristina; her sisters Betty (Pete), Julie, Violet and brother Clifford; and many nieces and nephews.

Jean and Gary raised their children in Beaverbank, NS and then moved to Barrie, ON in 1996. They built their house and created a beautiful garden oasis there before moving back home to Middle Sackville, NS in 2007 where they built their home on Springfield Lake.

Remembered for her kindness, huge heart and love for her family, Jean was an avid gardener and the family outcast when it came to her favourite hockey team, the Montreal Canadians. She loved finding a great deal at a thrift store, watching tennis, scary movies and shows about home renovations and haunted houses.

The family would like to thank Red Cross, VON, Home Care, Judy and Lorraine for all their support.

Jean will be interred at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 10am on Saturday January 25, 2025 with a reception at 249 Lakeview Avenue to follow.
