Obituary For Kyle David Andrew Robertson

It is with indescribable sadness that the family of Kyle David Andrew Robertson, of Mineville, NS announce his passing on August 8, 2023, at the age of 37. Kyle grew up in Mineville, NS and as an adult spent several years in Calgary, AB and more recently, in PEI.

Kyle was a kindhearted, fun-loving individual, leaving many with special memories of times spent together. He always made a room brighter with the smile he'd walk in with, and Kyle had the most infectious laugh, it was enough to light up anyone’s day. Kyle made many strong friendships throughout his journey in life.

Growing up in Mineville, Kyle attended Bell Park Elementary, Graham Creighton Junior High, and Eastern Shore High School. He played baseball and enjoyed the many years he played hockey.

Kyle was an independent thinker and skilled worker who loved to work with his hands. As a child you could find Kyle outside building roads with his Tonka trucks or creating things with wood. His imagination was endless. This stuck with Kyle into adulthood where he worked in construction building roads for new subdivisions. He also spent time as an accomplished roofer. Kyle honed his woodworking capabilities to become a skilled carpenter and eventually became the proud owner of his own carpentry business.

Kyle loved animals, especially his two boys, Smiley and Bentley. His dogs were his full-time companions and they provided Kyle with much inner peace.

Left behind to grieve the loss of Kyle are his father, Wilson Robertson (Cathy), mother, Judy Bastedo (Keith Turcotte), sisters, Danielle Robertson (Chris Hokanson) and Emily Rau (Doug), niece, Grace Kaiser, nephews, Ben and Remi Rau, grandmother, Annette Robertson along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. Kyle was predeceased by his grandparents, Ed and Pat Bastedo, grandfather, George Robertson, his great aunt, Jeannine Theriault, along with several beloved fur brothers.

A Celebration of life will take place Friday, September 15, 2023, at The Lake Echo Community Recreation Centre between 2pm – 4pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kyle’s memory to Hope for Wildlife at:
