Obituaries

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Lee LeLievre (née Thomas) on
January 5th, 2025 at Hospice Halifax at the age of 76.

Sharon was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she spent her formative years. Sharon met her late husband John Paul LeLievre in British Columbia, and the pair eventually found their way to Fall River, Nova Scotia, where they lived for the rest of their adult lives.

Sharon worked as a bookkeeper for several different companies over her career, including Girl Guides of Canada, and was a devoted member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and ladies auxiliary (Dieppe Branch
90) right up until her death. Sharon was an avid card player and could often be found playing until the wee hours, laughing with friends.

Left to mourn are her son Craig LeLievre (Jenn Horne), granddaughter and apple of her eye,
Julia LeLievre, devoted brother David Thomas (Linda), nieces Jennifer Thomas and Lisa Zappitelli (Anthony), and several long time friends and card playing partners.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Donald K. Walker, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 1st, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion (Dieppe Branch 90) located at 2234 Rocky Lake Drive, Waverley. Donations can be made to Hospice Halifax in Sharon’s name.
