Obituary For Verena Pearl Royle (Brewer)

Verena (Babes) Pearl Royle (Brewer)

With heavy hearts, we sadly announce the passing of our mom. She passed away peacefully, on the evening of November 13, 2024 at the age of 89.

Our mom worked full-time as an insurance agent, while our dad was in the Navy, and away at sea a good portion of the time. She still managed to be a constant and loving presence in our lives. Mom’s family was everything to her. She enjoyed spending summers at the cottage with friends and family. She loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.

She was a proud member of The Daughters of the Nile, she was chosen as the Queen on a couple of occasions. She traveled extensively with friends and family. She had a great sense of humor, and her kind and loving nature touched all that knew her.

Mom is survived by her sister Karen, sons Robert (Bobby) (Carla), Michael (Donna). Grandchildren - Christy, Craig, David, Carrie, Jennifer. Great-grandchildren – Max, Addison, Bishop, Cameron. Great-great-grandson – Bentley, Sister-in-law Jessie and many nieces and nephews.

Mom was predeceased by her parents, Doug and Pearl, Husband Robert (Bob), her son – Douglas, Sisters – Patricia, Gail and brother Clyde.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Donald K Walker, Funeral Director. Funeral will be held on November 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Andrew’s Parish, Timberlea, NS, with burial to follow at St. John’s Columbarium for family only.

The family would like to thank Northwood Bedford Campus (Ivany Place) for the wonderful and compassionate care given to our mom while she was there. Donations in Verena’s memory can be made to St. Andrew’s church and the Alzheimer’s Society.
