Obituaries

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wade Douglas MacPhee, 67, of Porter’s Lake, N.S., born in Halifax on May 6th 2023 at the Dartmouth General Hospital after a long, sad battle with Cancer.

He was the beloved son of Marion Elizabeth MacPhee (Crooks) of Lawrencetown and Myron David MacPhee of Nine Mile River.

What a journey!

His early years were all about tinkering with engines. He lived to play his guitar and sing to anyone that would listen. He had a love for the lake and he enjoyed being a handyman for his wife’s Daycare Centre.

He is survived by his wife Erica May MacPhee (Biggs) of 44 years. Son, David MacPhee, daughter, Amy MacPhee (Scott Cameron) and Granddaughters, Akiko Ria and Alia May of Porter’s Lake, Sister, Bonnie Smith of Mt. Thom and many cousins around the country.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Oncology Department at the VG and the Palliative Care Unit and Doctors and Nurses at the Dartmouth General Hospital.

In Lieu of flowers on his behalf, donations can be made to the Cancer Society.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 13th 2023, from 1-4pm at Erica’s Daycare Centre Ltd. Located at 4182 Highway #7, Porter’s Lake.
